The Northern Virginia Community Orchestra (NVCO), founded in October 2021, is a full orchestra that rehearses standard orchestral repertoire and provides concerts for the Northern Virginia community. The membership of the NVCO consists of amateur and professional musicians who donate their time and talent to perform and promote orchestral music.

The NVCO rehearses at Irving Middle School in Springfield on Wednesdays from 7 to 8:30 pm.The orchestra is under the direction of Music Director Stephen Shook and is supported by a six-member Board of Trustees. The NVCO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations are welcome and are fully tax-deductible.
